Media and Promotion

Building on the extraordinary media success of the previous editions (you can find out more here), the promotional campaign of the NEW Fall RIUF 2010 Edition will be improved to include more promotional channels, will expand the relation with the existing media partners and will offer an array of informational resources to any individual or organization (traditional media, bloggers, info-centers etc) interested in exploring the realm of study-abroad prospects.

Any journalist interested in promoting the opportunities that RIUF 2010 autumn editions offer to young Romanians should contact us to learn about the latest updates and have access to the media resources (information, pictures, relevant documents, contacts etc).

Amongst the many promotional efforts are:

  • Numerous ads placed in national newspapers and magazines
  • Dynamic online banner ads appear on major websites
  • Press releases
  • Media partners (national newspapers and major websites) featuring articles on international education opportunities in connection with the fair. Because Romanians consider an international education as extremely valuable, the media is highly interested in this exhibition. Prior to the fair, the media partners will publish and air various materials regarding the admissions process to international undergraduate and graduate programs. The fair's participants will thus be briefed about the specific requirements of the application process to foreign universities and will also be informed about the opportunity presented by the fair to interact with university representatives.
  • Interviews aired on national and regional TV / Radio stations
  • Major websites listing the fair and covering the event with news and information about RIUF and its associated events
  • Promotional messages on electronic newsgroups and discussion groups (national and international)
  • E-mails sent periodically to almost 25,000 targeted addresses of education professionals, education organizations, professors, high-school and college students, journalists covering youth & education etc
  • Inserts in the newsletters of partner organizations such as British Council, DAAD and others
  • More than 100,000 flyers and 5,000 posters will be distributed and placed in selected locations - highly visible to young students and professionals (15-25 years old): high schools, universities, cafes, movie theatres.
  • Promotional activities through partner NGOs and student organizations
  • Hundreds of links and referrals to our website www.riuf.ro
